A few years ago, 30-year-old Richelle Shaw was earning a six-figure income working in upper management for a Las Vegas telephone service company. All the while she had her heart set on owning her own business. But, she was reluctant to give up the large salary she was earning to start a business.
Little did Richelle know, but her entrepreneurial odyssey was about to begin. When large corporations started buying out telephone service companies, her boss told her the company’s financial picture was bleak and accounts receivable were almost impossible to collect. He told her bankruptcy was the only solution.
Without thinking twice, Richelle recognized an opportunity and offered to buy the company. She said, “After working for the company for eight years, I believed that I could breathe life back into it.”
