Conformity; a positive or negative in business…
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States said,
“Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”
Sometimes bucking the traditional model within your industry can help fuel growth. We are all concerned about the economy; however many companies are still experiencing growth despite the current economic climate. As you finalize strategic plans for next year, think of ways to set your company apart from the pack, so you too stand out, giving you the ability to grow, despite the economy.

It takes more than belief…
Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Philosopher esteemed for his doctrine of nonviolent protest, said,
Although you will find hundreds of other quotes on belief; this one is great, as it shows the need to build or create the capacity to do what you believe. Belief on its own will never work, if you need the tools, training, strategic planning, mentoring and coaching to succeed, then you have to take the necessary steps to acquire the assistance. Ask yourself, do I have the guts to acquire the tools to achieve my beliefs?
5 Sep. 08 Richelle Shaw, a Las Vegas African American Millionaire
Join us as we listen to the engaging and entertaining Richelle Shaw. An extremely successful business woman, who’s mission is to help other women entrepreneurs, “Make Mine A Million.” (http://www.count-me-in.org/loanapps/million.html)
A few years ago, 30-year-old Richelle Shaw was earning a six-figure income working in upper management for a Las Vegas telephone service company. All the while she had her heart set on owning her own business. But, she was reluctant to give up the large salary she was earning to start a business.
Little did Richelle know, but her entrepreneurial odyssey was about to begin. When large corporations started buying out telephone service companies, her boss told her the company’s financial picture was bleak and accounts receivable were almost impossible to collect. He told her bankruptcy was the only solution.
Without thinking twice, Richelle recognized an opportunity and offered to buy the company. She said, “After working for the company for eight years, I believed that I could breathe life back into it.”
Thirty minutes isn’t enough to learn about Richelle Shaw, so look for her to come back. We didn’t even have a chance to cover her book, How to Build A Million Dollar Business in Las Vegas Without the Casinos. Do you believe?
Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous architect, said,
“The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.”
This week’s quote is a reminder of the importance of believing in what you do. If you truly desire to grow your business, it all begins with belief in yourself, your product or service, and an intense belief that you can achieve a your set goal in sales within a specific period of time. I believe in you; the question is, do you believe?
